On the morning of October 13, 2017, CCPIT (Hubei) Pilot Free Trade Zone Service Center (“Service Center”) was unveiled in Wuhan. The fourth service center of CCPIT among the 11 free trade zones was now formally established.

The unveiling ceremony was chaired by Zhou Caijuan, Chairman of CCPIT Hubei Sub-Council and Lu Pengqi, Vice Chairman of CCPIT, and Dai Xi, Chairman of the Donghu Hi-tech District Management Committee, made speeches respectively.

In his speech, Lu pointed out that the establishment of the Service Center marks a great step by CCPIT on the way to implement the nation’s strategy of free trade zones. CCPIT will make full use of its abundant communication channels with the business communities both home and abroad, its multiple trade and investment promotion methods and platforms, and its professional commercial legal services to bring more resources to the Pilot Free Trade Zone.  CCPIT will cooperate with the Donghu District of Wuhan, Wuhan District Management Committee of the Hubei FTZ on the promotion of foreign trade and outbound investment, facilitation of international communication and cooperation and providing foreign-related commercial legal service in order to facilitate the international development of enterprises in the FTZ when going global.

The Vice Chairman of the Donghu Hi-tech District of Wuhan Management Committee and Wuhan District Management Committee of Hubei FTZ Dai Xi pointed out in his speech that the Donghu Hi-tech District of Wuhan Management Committee and the Wuhan District Management Committee of Hubei FTZ will actively support CCPIT to expand the trade and investment promotion and commercial legal services, encourage local enterprises to participate in the establishment of multilateral or bilateral cooperative mechanism, positively promote the CCPIT service and take an active part in the economic and trade promotion activities held in the countries alongside the Belt and Road, and work together with CCPIT to provide strong guarantee of the trade and investment for the district enterprises.

Afterwards, Lu and Dai unveiled the Service Center together. Deputy Chairman and Secretary General of CIETAC Wang Chengjie, Chairman of CCPIT Hubei Sub-Council Zhou Caijuan, Deputy Secretary of Wuhan municipality Dong Guangli, and Chairman of CCPIT Wuhan Sub-Council Zou Weidong witnessed the unveiling ceremony.
